" Sure, there were mini bikes by the bushel, ranging from the Z50 Mini-Trail and CT70 Trail 70 to the CL90, CL70 and CL100 Scramblers of the day. But these machines were either best suited as campground roustabouts, limited, though still plenty capable, in their performance scope (the Trails), or simply street bikes modified for casual dirt use (the Scramblers). The XR75, on the other hand, was all about one thing: serious off-road fun. And odds were that this was the bike most tiddlers stepped up to after cutting their dirt-riding teeth on those very same Trail 50s and 70s.
