Honda's CBRs: History of Victory
" Honda's second-generation 600 – the CBR600F2 – was successful right from the start. Just like its progenitor, the Hurricane, the F2 won all nine races in the series. Miguel Duhamel took the 600 Supersport class championship with seven victories, including five in a row. 1993 The ultra-light open-class sportbike . Unleashed upon an unsuspecting industry in the spring of 1992, the most potent pure-performance Honda ever redefined sportbike performance overnight. Weighing in at an inconceivable 408 pounds, the original CBR 900RR put liter-class horsepower in a package that was 80 pounds lighter than its lightest rivals, " [1]

Honda Powersports - Milestone models and achievements through Honda's history
" Several major makeovers followed, each radically different and equally awe-inspiring, from 1991's CBR600F2, 1995's F3 and 1999's F4 to the F4i in 2001. Another such revamp and one perhaps receiving slightly less fanfare due to upgrades more subtle in comparison to its totally redesigned brethren was the 1990 CBR600F. It didn't hurt, either, that the '87 600 Hurricane was so successful and superior that Honda left it virtually unchanged for its first three years. Subtle though the 600F's improvements were, the impact felt throughout the sportbike landscape was indelible. Honda had sent a message, loud and clear, that it had no intention of resting on its laurels, not to mention, its numero" [2]

Honda Powersports - Milestone models and achievements through Honda's history
" Four years later, when it was time to revamp the CBR600, Honda adhered to exactly the same formula to create the CBR600F2: class-leading performance, but with the same uncanny balance that characterized the original. Indeed, the F2 took over right where the Hurricane had left off, setting new class standards for peak power, acceleration and handling as well as comfort. In its first two years, 1991 and 1992, the F2 won every 600-class comparison test in enthusiast magazines, even taking the laurels in two magazines as the best sportbike money could buy period. The F2 took the AMA's 600 SuperSport title as well, even duplicating the original Hurricane's feat of winning every 600 SuperSport race on the calendar in 1991. While the formula and the subsequent r" [3]

Which oil do you use? - CBRXX.com
" Wow,the oil debate always hits a nerve.I've dragraced on Motul 5100,Motul300v,IPONE full synthetic,Honda HP4,Amsoil 0w30(CBR600F2)and the only problem I had was with the Honda oil, scored my cam journals on the 600.I have NEVER HAD MY CLUTCH SLIP WITH SYNTHETIC,and I launch the bird at 8000 rpm. There are additives out there that will contaminate friction plates but I have yet to find them in anything I've used.We found some red gooey stuff(looked like tranny fluid)in a customers clutch once, made it slip, plates were soaked in it.I just had my motor completely taken apart and it looked great, mind you I bought it with 47000 km's on it,it now has over 60 000. Actually, I used Castrol Syntec...for autos. Did I just lose all credibility? LOL not where we are located on average the weather here is " [6]
